Elviria: peaceful, laidback and convenient residential paradise near the sea in Marbella

Elviria is a large residential district in East Marbella, complete with town hall, church, post office, schools and lots of leisure facilities, amenities and popular beachside venues. It stretches from the Hacienda Las Chapas to Cabopino area, the most eastern point of the Marbella municipality, to the El Rosario district of Marbella.

Ideal for many, as it is located only 15 minutes east of Marbella's city centre and also easily accessible from Malaga´s airport, about half an hour´s drive away.  

Elviria has a laidback atmosphere and an outspoken international character. It is peaceful and safe with picturesque tree lined streets, pine forests and a low density collection of properties.

Elviria Beach side

Since much of Elviria is beachside, many properties are within walking distance to what are often considered the best beaches on the Costa del Sol. As a consequence, most of the homes are therefore also walking distance to a plethora of classy beach bars, beach clubs, chiringuitos and luxury hotels for which this stretch of the Costa is known. Perla Blanca, The Beach House, Nikki Beach, chiringuito El Laurel and the exclusive Don Carlos Hotel are just some of the quality names located here.

No less than three 5-star hotels are located here: Marriott's Marbella Beach Resort, the already mentioned Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa, and the Vincci Seleccion Estrella del Mar, all of them offering a wide selection of facilities and services which you can enjoy as well.

The small but very pleasant marina of Cabopino offers more restaurants and bars and of course moorage for motor boats and yachts. It´s a perfect place for residents and tourists to have a walk, a drink or a meal.    

Elviria Hill side

On the other side of the main A-7 coastal road is the inland area of Elviria where you will first encounter a large commercial centre with many amenities, products and services, from supermarkets to bars, banks and restaurants! The Amazonia adventure park is new and fun for young and old.

From here, a maze of well looked after avenues, lined with exquisite villas, townhouses and apartment complexes leads towards the hills of the area, the main road stretching all the way up to the La Mairena urbanisation, in the heart of the countryside.

Famous golf courses here are the Santa Maria Golf and Country Club, the Cabopino Golf Club and the Greenlife Golf academy. The Santa Clara, Rio Real and the Marbella golf courses are also very close by, in the neighbouring El Rosario.

The Michelin starred El Lago restaurant is located just a stone´s throw away from the Greenlife golf course.

Schools in the area include the English International College or E.I.C. and the German College located in La Mairena.

Also health services are nearby with the Hospital Costa del Sol just a short drive on the A7 and many health clinics scattered in the area.
